Our Florida trip that never was...

Considering this Kyle-created snowbank in the driveway was taller than my Jeep, we were really looking forward to going to Florida last weekend...Unfortunately we never made it out of Maryland due to a 100 year storm system ;(. We did make the best of it and went to a resort in Ashburn, VA for a night and took a couple days to see the Smith Family so it was still a full-filling weekend!

Here are some pics of Gray playing with mirror in our hotel room...

It was Valentine's Day on Sunday, so we took advantage of having family nearby and Ally and I got to eat a very nice (and very tasty) dinner together. Thanks Baculic family!

And Grayson in the hotel pool! He didn't crack very many smiles, but he also didn't freak out at all with playing in the water. I dunked him twice for good measure too ;) The first time he didn't like it too much and started to cry, but he took the second one in stride, so a pretty good start in my book. He can't be a Gahan and not love the water!

Do your best not to look thrilled Gray...

Random pics of Grayson over the last couple weeks...

Without further adieu, the real reason people look at this site...(the young buck obviously has an affinity for the dishwasher)...much like his cousin Ian!

We Surrender!

Can't post any pictures at the moment...because we're at a friends house for the night due to losing power :(...Usually I blame it on living in the woods, but in this case there has been so much snow in such a short amount of time that trees everywhere are going down.

People stuck everywhere, main highways aren't even really plowed yet. Snow just stopped, but there is so much work to be done that it will be days before everyone is dug out of this one.

Tomorrow night we'll stay at a hotel, and then we'll re-evaluate what to do. Two huge trees are down blocking the main access to our neighborhood (which also took down the power), and it is going to be awhile before chainsaws and electricians show up on-site....We need a generator that can tie into our furnace and then we'd be fine, but when the temps get into the teens at night it changes things dramatically.

We'll keep you updated!
