A rainy Sunday...

Hey All! Hope everyone is doing well. It is a rainy day in Annapolis and that suits me just fine. Lots of busy weekends lately so chilling out and watching Los Bulls vs. El Heat makes for a perfect afternoon. Just wanted to throw a few pictures your way from over the last couple weeks. I'm pretty sure we are reaching the terrible 2s a little early because Grayson has taken on crying and throwing tamtrums as a second job. "Cry it out" has taken on a whole new meaning...;)
Wearing dad's running hats...
Allyson walked into the living room after getting ready for work and Grayson is laying on the floor reading Dad's muscle mag...
Babysitting for some friends, Grayson was actually watching a movie for a little while eating popcorn!

Happy B-day to me!!

So I had to give up the Jeep because I was worried about the leaking, and the driver's seat was tilted strangely that was resulting in some major hip pain for me on longer rides...
But that also means an opportunity for an upgrade!! The new ride is unbelievable...so smooth and quite. What a great B-day present...and just in time for our trip down to Charlotte this weekend!!

Grayson recovers...

Well, this has been a very long week! Grayson came down with pneumonia last weekend and was in very rough shape from Saturday when he stopped eating until Thursday when he finally started to eat again. He had a temperature of 103 on multiple occasions, but we were able to control it a little bit with Tylenol and other assorted medications. This Saturday I got up with him and he seemed like himself for the first time all week. Today has been great, so we went out to Toys R' Us to get him out of the house a little bit. I love watching him in that place because every time he turns around he sees something new and goes "Whoa!" So Funny...
His favorite thing though is climbing in and out of every electric car that is reachable. Couldn't get him out of the Dodge Charger police car today!

Adding some pictures...

I got these pics from my mom this week. They are from when Gray and I went to Detroit in January! Some cute stuff!

R.I.P Brody Gahan

We will never forget....and we can't wait to meet you someday...

Your mom wrote about you today in a way that others can see her thoughts. It wasn't easy for her, but that is how much you mean to her. I hope you keep inspiring us to step outside our comfort zones when it is necessary or appropriate.

Love you,

Dad

Sorry for the hiatus!!

I don't have any excuses other than "sorry for being so lazy". This fall was crazy busy with work and the weekends always seemed to be taken up with traveling or other events...oh yea, no excuses...

I won't attempt to write anything witty today as I have a ton of pictures to post as sort of a collage of our fall and holiday period. I'll add in comments as I post pictures...

Halloween is one of our favorite holidays, so Grayson was very interested to observe the annual carving contest between Ally and I...

Trying to Christmas shop in Toys R' Us for all of Grayson's cousins proved to be both fun for us and a little difficult as little man was like a kid in a candy store!

Here is a picture from our first annual Christmas party in front of the tree... and then a picture of us outside church on Christmas eve. I think Grayson made it through the first 15-20 minutes and then he was out the door running around...

Christmas Day was so much fun aside from the fact that we stayed in Maryland versus travelling to Michigan this year like normal. Here is our tree and some great pictures of Grayson as he waited patiently to open the next gift...

After we were done opening presents we went on a family walk with Grayson's new red wagon...as time wears on I'm not sure he's made it through one entire ride fully awake...he is usually out cold when we get home!

For Martin Luther King weekend we did a little get away to Williamsburg VA, where we saw some horses grazing in a small pasture. We went over to point the horses out to Gray and one of them saw us and walked over to us immediately and started sticking their noses through the gate! It was awesome petting them, but Grayson didn't want to get too close!

For my Christmas present Allyson got me tickets to see the Blackhawks (good guys) play the evil Red Wings in Detroit...so I took advantage of the fact that Grayson is not yet 2 and brought him along in my carry on luggage! It was so much fun to see him play with his cousins, and he even gave my parents a hug/kiss goodbye (major progress there)..
